School Seminars – Easter and Christmas

An Easter program is presented the week before Easter and a Christmas program in December. These presentations comply with Department of Education guidelines for students to understand the background of some of our Australian cultural celebrations. They are presented by a group of Christians from different denominations/churches in the area. They are basically a play and use various other media.

KOWS - children’s school holiday program

KOWS (Kids of the Western Shores) is an initiative of several of the churches who collaborate to provide a fun and interactive program for children on an afternoon during each of the school holidays. It includes games, craft, food and stories from the Bible. It is for primary aged kids, and concludes with a family meal at the end of the afternoon.

They are held on the last Friday of the April*, July and October school holidays. $5 per child.

* The April 2024 event is not being held because of the long weekend.

Just prior to Christmas they provide a free family event for the community with, for example, pony rides, face painting, sausage sizzle and donuts, carols and the Christmas story - ALL FREE.
